For years, we talked about starting a family. At the time there was a lot we wanted to accomplish. We would go about our daily routine, and every night before going to bed we would pray that God continues to fill our life and home with love and joy!

One day while Edwin was away I had an itch. After some deep cleaning, I sat to myself cozy in bed snacking on a slice of Domino’s pepperoni pizza, binging on some Grey’s Anatomy, the one about “The crazy Dog” ... & the idea hit me. I began to Google search some puppies all over the internet just to browse. Suddenly, this adorable, sweet little golden curly headed face caught my eye, like love at first sight. I had to have him. I called one of my besties, and within ten minutes we were both screaming in excitement on our way to pick up my soon to be little boy.

I was so nervous, and afraid that he wouldn’t want to go home with me. I did not know what to expect. When the lady opened the door, he came running circles around me, he knew I loved him and he knew he was coming home! I was so in love, I could not wait to surprise Edwin!

When Edwin came home, I heard the door shut, & I peeked to get a glimpse of his reaction. I had never seen him so hurt in my life, he immediately felt replaced .. so jelous. It took him a moment to realize he was ours. He walked up to him slowly, sat down in the kitchen floor and looked at him. Leo ran to him filled with so much joy and excitement, Edwin’s heart melted.

We are lucky to have such a sweet and loving puppy like Leo. He’s soft, humble, and scared of everything, it’s adorable.

I didn’t know that Leo was what we were missing.

For the past seven years, Leo has enriched and brought so much love and joy to our lives. His hobbies include stealing food from Dad, marking his territory, playing with his favorite blue toy elephant, walking with Papa, dressing up, oooh does he love that, playing with his best friends, Bailey and Riley, getting his but scratched, and more than anything in the world cuddling with Mom & Dad!!
